HarryHall Horse Vet Fee Insurance

Ensure you’re covered for injuries to your horse with horse veterinary fees insurance with Harry Hall. An exclusive benefit for our One Club members, our horse veterinary fees insurance gives you access to vet fees cover, meaning you can protect your horse against accidental and external injuries only with a limit of £1,500 for any one claim and in the aggregate.

How much is the policy?

Our horse vet fee insurance policy is £75 per year. This premium is inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax at 12.00% and a £19.00 administration fee. Additional cover is available which includes Tack Cover and Disposal Costs for an extra fee.

Tack Cover £67 - £1,000 sum insured with £200 excess. Annual policy inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax at 12.00% and a £17.00 administration fee. 

Disposal Costs £23 - Costs up to a sum insured of £300, which would contribute to the cost of euthanasia and disposal of the horse as a result of an accidental and external injury. This section does not carry an excess. Annual policy inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax at 12.00% and a £6.20 administration fee.

What is covered with Harry Hall Vet Fee Insurance?

Cover on this policy is provided for accidental external injury only. There is a limit of £1,500 for any one claim and in the aggregate across the policy period.

Please note that cover is restricted to a maximum of two horses which you own or have on full loan, or three horses if you have a One Club Gold Family Membership, as named on the certificate of insurance.

What happens if I need to claim on my Horse Veterinary Fees Insurance?

We hope you never have to make a claim, but if you do, the helpful and experienced team at SEIB will be on hand to help and to answer any questions you may have, please call 0345 873 4922. The policy is provided by Brit Syndicate 2987 Underwriters at Lloyd’s.

Do I need to be a Harry Hall One Club member to purchase Horse Vet Fee Insurance...

Yes, our equine veterinary insurance is exclusive to One Club members. If you're not a member you can join today from as little as £3.33 per month or £10 per year. Click here to view the membership options available. If you register for an account and add a Bronze or Gold membership to your basket, you will then be able to purchase Vet Fees Insurance.

Do I register with my horse's stable name or passported name...

Please register with your horse's passported name or number, not their stable name.

Can I pay monthly...

No, our Vet Fee Insurance is only available on annual subscriptions. You can, however, pay monthly for your One Club membership.

Is there an excess under the policy?

The veterinary fees section carries an excess of £165, and the saddlery and tack section carries an excess of £200 which is payable on each and every claim.

Do I need to tell you if I sell my horse or wish to add a horse to the policy?

Yes, we ask that you contact our customer services team on 01274 711011.

How many horses does the policy cover?

You can name a maximum of 2 horses on the policy if you are an individual member and 3 if you have a family membership.

Can I take out more than one policy?

Yes, providing the policy is covering a different horse.

Does the policy cover colic?

No, the cover is for accidental external injuries only and does not cover any illness.

Can I take out cover a horse which I loan/share?

Only if the horse is on full loan, meaning you are financially responsible for the horse and have a written loan agreement in place.  

Will a vetting be required to take out the policy?

No, as the policy only covers accidental and external injuries a vetting would not be required.

My previous policies had exclusions for example on the hind limb, will these apply to this policy?

No, there are no personalised exclusions on this policy as the cover is only for accidental and external injury. The only case that such an injury would not be covered is if it occurred prior to taking out the policy.

Who is the insurer?

The policy is underwritten by Brit Syndicate 2987 Underwriters at Lloyd’s and arranged by SEIB Insurance Brokers Ltd.

Haven't had to claim (yet - thankfully!) but after a field accident earlier this year which cost me over £800, I took this cover out as soon I heard about it! I've been a Gold member for a while now (again, never had to claim, but gives me a little peace of mind), and it was a no brainer to take out this cover too. As HH are such a long established company with excellent customer service, I'm hoping that if I ever have to claim, they'll make it as easy as possible for me :)
